Where exactly is the Art Hotel Lasserhaus?
You will find us at Stuflergasse 10, 39042 Brixen (Bressanone), in the heart of the Stufels artists’ quarter. The town centre begins 200 metres away, Brixen Cathedral is 300 metres away, and Brixen railway station is 1.3 kilometres away.
What is the best way to get here?
On foot from the railway station (1.3 kilometres), by car via the A22 or by air via Bolzano (46 kilometres away). We have our own garage for your car – €25 per day; reservation is required.
What makes the Lasserhaus different from other hotels?
The Lasserhaus is a listed four-star superior hotel dating from the 15th century, named by UNESCO among the world’s most beautiful hotels through the Prix Versailles. Five contemporary artists – Ingrid Hora, Esther Stocker, Petra Polli, Alex Wierer and Peter Kogler – have helped shape the ten individually designed rooms and spaces; contemporary works meet a classical collection here.
What room categories are available?
Ten rooms across two floors: three suites, six double rooms and one single room. Two double rooms are ‘Artist Rooms’ with their own art installations. The double beds are 1.80 metres wide and can be separated; all rooms feature a TV, safe, Bluetooth speaker, minibar with local products and sustainable toiletries from ‘Farmacia Dobbiaco’.
When can I check in?
Check-in is available daily between 3 and 7 p.m. Please have a photo ID and credit card ready.
How and where is breakfast served?
Daily from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Viertel Bar, 200 metres from the house. A buffet of regional produce awaits, with continental and vegetarian options – and a view of the White Tower.
Is there a wellness area at the hotel?
Yes, there is. Our Finnish sauna and whirlpool are on the first floor and open daily from 2 to 7 p.m. Bathrobes, towels and slippers are provided. If you would like more water, you can also book a package for the public Acquarena swimming pool.
Where can I have dinner?
Our family of establishments includes the Alter Schlachthof restaurant – serving South Tyrolean classics and international cuisine made with regional produce – as well as the Viertel Bar, with drinks, easy dishes and appetisers.
What does the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass offer?
The Guest Pass gives you free access to South Tyrol’s public transport and free entry to numerous attractions. You receive it at reception when you check in.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, free of charge throughout the house.
Are children welcome?
Yes – families will find the Lasserhaus a place where tranquillity and design live side by side happily.
Can I bring my pet?
On request and in selected rooms: certainly.
Can I hold a party at the hotel?
Stag and hen parties, as well as similar celebrations, are not permitted here — to ensure the peace of the hotel.
What is within walking distance?
The Pharmacy Museum (100 metres), the old town with its arcades and the White Tower (200 metres each), and the Cathedral and the Hofburg Palace (300 metres each). Neustift Abbey is 3.4 kilometres away.
What activities are available in the surrounding area?
Hiking, cycling and skiing – above all on the Plose, Brixen’s local mountain, with mountain-bike trails in summer and ski slopes, cross-country ski tracks and toboggan runs in winter.
Cancellation policy: clear terms, fair deadlines
Sometimes life has other ideas than the calendar. So that you know exactly where you stand, here are our terms – crystal clear, with no fine print hidden in the fine print:
The total amount is payable directly at the hotel; we require a credit card to secure your booking.
- Cancellation up to 5 days before arrival: free of charge
- Cancellation 4 days before arrival or later: 50% of the total booked amount
- Cancellation 2 days before arrival or later: 100% of the total booked amount
- Late arrival, no-show or early departure: 100% of the total booked amount
In the event of cancellation, the amount will be charged to the credit card on file. And because we would rather see you again than say goodbye: on request, we will credit the cancellation fee paid against a future stay within one year – room and rate subject to the period and availability. Your stay may be rescheduled once.
